Epic Games is once again offering Fortnite players a chance to add a free car to their locker. This time, however, the vehicle can only be unlocked in Rocket League, another free game. The reward is the Hyundai Ioniq 6 Car, and it’s available for free for a limited time.
The offer is tied to Rocket League’s FIFA World Cup 2026 event, which is live right now. By completing a set of event challenges before the deadline, you can secure the free car. In addition, you can also unlock a couple of extra cosmetics that will later become available in Fortnite.
How to unlock the Hyundai Ioniq 6 car for free in Fortnite
To get the Hyundai Ioniq 6 Car for free, you need to complete 10 FIFA World Cup 2026 event challenges in Rocket League before July 20, 2026, at 12 PM ET. Once you’ve finished the required challenges, the reward will be added to your account and will carry over to Fortnite very soon.
The Hyundai Ioniq 6 is the main reward from the event, but it isn’t the only cosmetic you can unlock. By participating in the new event, you can also unlock the FIFA 2026 Boost and the Hyundai Ioniq 6: LA Mode Decal. These items are currently available as Rocket League rewards and are expected to become usable in Fortnite as well.
It’s important to note that these cosmetics are not available in Fortnite yet. However, that will change soon.
The next Fortnite update is currently scheduled for June 18, and this is the most likely date for Epic Games to add support for the new FIFA World Cup 2026 rewards. Once that happens, the Hyundai Ioniq 6 Car, as well as the other free rewards, should become available in both games.
The challenge requirements are relatively straightforward, and completing them now will ensure that the rewards are already attached to your account once Fortnite receives support for them. If you don’t have Rocket League, you can get it for free on PCs and consoles, just make sure to log in with the same Epic Games account you play Fortnite on.
