Epic Games is giving Fortnite players a chance to unlock the Supergirl skin for free before it comes to the Item Shop. The release date of the skin is set for Friday, June 26, but you can get early access to it starting on Wednesday.
The outfit is tied to the Supergirl Cup, a limited-time competitive event that rewards the top players in every region. Epic is offering several versions of the Fortnite cup, including Battle Royale, Zero Build, and a mobile-only tournament, allowing different types of players to get the upcoming skin for free.
How to unlock the Supergirl skin for free in Fortnite
To get the Supergirl skin for free, you need to compete in the Supergirl Cup and finish within the required placement range for your region. The Battle Royale and Zero Build versions of the cup are played in Duos, so you’ll need a teammate before entering. There is also a separate mobile cup available for Android and iOS players, giving mobile players a chance to unlock the Supergirl skin and her cape.
To enter the tournament, open Fortnite and go to the Compete tab. From there, select the Supergirl Cup and check the exact start time for your region. The event takes place on Wednesday, June 24, though some regions may show a different local time depending on the schedule.

Supergirl Cup scoring system in Fortnite
The Supergirl Cup rewards both placement and eliminations, so surviving deep into matches will be extremely important. Once again, however, the emphasis is on survival, so the longer you survive, the more points you will get.
Placement points begin at the top 25, while you receive nine points for a Victory Royale, and two for each elimination. Mobile players have a slightly different scoring system, as each elimination is worth a single point, while getting a victory racks up seven points. Furthermore, the elimination cap is set at 10.
Fortunately, even if you don’t qualify for Supergirl, you can still unlock a couple of free skins in Fortnite, as these require no competing. Furthermore, if you want to unlock more cosmetics quickly, you can use some of the best Fortnite XP maps to rapidly increase your Battle Pass level. Epic is expected to release even more free rewards in the upcoming Fortnite summer event.
