Yeddy is a new free skin in Fortnite that was released with Chapter 7 Season 2. The new season of the popular video game also marked its return to the Google Play Store worldwide, which is a major milestone. To celebrate its mobile re-release, Epic Games is allowing players to unlock a new skin for free for a limited time.

To unlock Yeddy in Fortnite, you need to download the game on an Android device. The skin can be unlocked through a simple quest, although there is currently a workaround to get it without a mobile device.

How to get the Yeddy skin in Fortnite for free?

The simplest way to obtain the Yeddy skin is by obtaining Fortnite on your Android phone and recruiting your friend. The process is simple, and requires you to do the following:

• Download Fortnite from the Google Play Store
• Log in with your Epic Games account
• Use the Sidebar and click the “Invite a Friend” button
• Recruit your friend to play the game with you
• Earn at least one Account Level

Even if you don’t have a friend to invite, you should be eligible for the skin as soon as you press the Invite button. This exclusive quest should appear in the Quests tab on the Android version of the game. Fortunately, it’s also obtainable without a mobile device, although Epic Games may patch this method soon.

Just like the Katalina skin in 2024, Yeddy is obtainable for free by leveling up in other game modes. To get the skin, you need to earn a level in Fortnite Save the World. If you don’t have access to the PvE mode, several players have reported using XP maps in Fortnite to unlock the Yeddy skin.

Fortnite Save the World will become free for everyone in April. Unfortunately, Epic will likely patch this method by then, and you will have to use an Android phone to get the free skin.
