Helldivers 2 developer Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed game’s first new warbond in a couple of months: the new Python Commandos Warbond.

While Arrowhead is still focused on providing “many more months” of patches as well as fixing the game’s massive PC file size, regular content is coming back to the game after a significant break to polish up existing content.

Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Release Date

The new Helldivers 2 Python Commandos premium warbond release date has been set for December 2, 2025, which lines up with a recent tease from Arrowhead in the game’s latest patch notes.

“Helldivers, high-ranking officials in the Ministry of Defense have accused you of being the best,” reads the warbond’s new synopsis. “And if you’re the best, then you’re going to need to be outfitted with the best, which is why the Ministry has fast-tracked the deployment of the Python Commandos Premium Warbond–arriving to your Super Destroyers on December 2!”

Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Weapons and Stratagems

The new Helldivers 2 Python Commandos Warbond comes with three brand-new stratagems and a single new primary weapon. While some Warbonds come with multiple weapons, including secondary, this one focuses primarily on new stratagems.

As if your Guard Dog drones didn’t kill you and your teammates enough, the new AX/FLAM-75 “Guard Dog” Hot Dog is a brand-new drone equipped with a devastating flamethrower that is guaranteed to set the entire team on fire.

The new Warbond also includes a new CQC-9 Defoliation Tool for cutting through thick jungles and, amazingly, the M-1000 Maxigun, a huge belt-fed mini-gun with extreme ammo capacity to rip through bug scum.

As for the new primary weapon,the new Helldivers 2 warbond introduces the AR/GL-21 One-Two, a two-in-one weapon that is a combination assault rifle and grenade launcher. While it can deal devastating damage, this is a very heavy weapon, but is the trade off worth it?

Python Commandos cosmetics

An evolution of Viper Commandos, the new Python Commandos Warbond introduces two armour sets: the RS-20 Constrictor light armour set and the RS-40 Best of Prey heavy armour set. Both of these are fantastic looking, although nothing will beat ODST in our opinion.

Of course, the warbond also comes with new emotes including the Front-Leaning Rest Position emote, and a handful of new patterns for vehicles. Check a look at everything in the handy image below.
