Fortnite may be getting another major DC collaboration soon, and this one appears to be built around summer variants of several popular characters. According to a recent leak, numerous new DC cosmetics are set to arrive in July, from new skins to a Batman Sidekick.
The leaked Fortnite lineup includes Batman, Poison Ivy, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, a Batman Sprite, a Batman Sidekick, and the Batmobile. While Epic Games has not officially announced the crossover yet, the leak comes from several reputable leakers, which nearly confirms it.
Fortnite’s DC characters may be getting summer skins
While the recent leak has gained a lot of attention, it’s important to note that the DC characters shown in it are not entirely new to Fortnite. Batman, Harley Quinn, Catwoman, and Poison Ivy have all appeared in the game before through previous DC collaborations. Because of this, the latest leak likely points to new variants rather than the characters making their Fortnite debut.
Based on the leaked image, which was shared by Hypex, the new cosmetics appear to be summer-themed versions of the DC characters.
In addition to the skins, Fortnite may also receive a Batman-themed Sprite, a Batman Sidekick, and a Batmobile vehicle. Sprites have become one of the biggest gameplay additions in Chapter 7 Season 3, so a Batman version would be an interesting way for Epic to connect the crossover to the current season.
For now, it is unclear whether the cosmetics will be sold in the Item Shop, added through quests, or included in a separate event pass. They may also be sold as a real-money bundle, which is precisely what Epic Games did with Poison Ivy’s skin, as it’s only available through The Last Laugh bundle.
The new Fortnite x DC collaboration is set to arrive on July 16, according to the leak. Considering that the collaboration is approximately two weeks away, Epic may soon release more information about it.
