Gold Digger is a mining adventure game where you dig deep underground, collect valuable resources, upgrade your tools, and build your own home, all while levelling up your character. If you’re a new player seeking to dig up treasures, this guide will help you get started.

Game Objective

Your goal is to dig as deep as possible, uncovering new resources, levelling up your character, and unlocking powerful tools and skills to improve your digging efficiency. Along the way, you’ll also gather gems, build structures, decorate your home, and complete quests.

How to Play

On Mobile Devices:

• Use your finger to direct the miner in the direction you want to dig.

On PC:

• Use the arrow keys on your keyboard or click and hold the left mouse button to move and dig.

Game Interface Icons Overview

• Left Side Menu: Here you can access your digging tools, inventory, quests, and house.
• Top Bar: This bar shows your character’s skill level, game coordinates, version info, as well as your Gem and Coin purchase tabs.

Levelling Up and Skill Upgrades

As you dig and discover new rocks, you’ll earn blue star tokens. These tokens can be used to unlock new skills and level up your character.

• You can access your skill menu by tapping your character icon at the top.
• Spend tokens to improve digging speed, tool power, and more.

Gems

You can use Gems to speed up progress or unlock premium features. Gems can be collected by:

• Digging and progressing in the game
• Watching optional ads
• Buying them in the Store

Bonuses

You can occasionally watch optional ads to gain bonuses that speed up your digging, improve rewards, or unlock temporary perks.

Shops to Buy and Sell

To effectively progress through the game, you’re going to have to interact with several in-game Shops.

Joe’s Mining Shop

This shop is used to buy powerful tools, upgrades, and special items to boost your miner’s capabilities.

Thrift Shop

Sell items you’ve found in the mine in the Thrift Shop for coins.

Home Decor Shop

This Shop allows you to buy furniture and decorations to customize your home. Follow these steps to unlock this Shop:

1. Complete the tutorial.
2. Build the elevator at the surface.
3. Buy the certified building from the Shop.
4. Activate it to access the new Build menu.
5. Build 15 walls.

Building and Construction

To start building structures in the mine:

1. Unlock “Hammer Certified” (the Hammer icon in the skill list) by upgrading your Tool Certificates skill.
2. Buy the Hammer from Joe’s Mining Shop.
3. Enter the mine and tap the Hammer Icon on the left side menu.
4. Choose an item to build (like walls or ladders) in the tile you’re currently in. Their placement is free.
5. Tap the hammer icon again to deactivate and press the back arrow to exit construction mode.

Decorating Your Mine

In Gold Digger, you can decorate your mine to your liking. Follow these steps to decorate:

1. Unlock the first skill in the Building category in the skills menu (the Hammer and Ladder icon).
2. Buy the construction upgrade from Joe’s Shop (under Engineer category).
3. Open the new Construction menu from the yellow side menu.
4. Tap the “Decorate” tab and place your decorations while in front of the desired tile.
5. To remove decorations, stand in front of them, open the same menu, and use the put-back icon.

Building Your House

Build your house using walls and other structures:

1. Open the Construction menu (Hammer icon) on the left side of the screen.
2. Place house items on mined tiles to create your layout.
3. Purchase additional furniture from the Home Decor Shop, then place it through the Decorate tab.

Using the Crowbar

The Crowbar is used to:

• Build structures such as walls, ladders, and decorations.
• Remove structures by walking over the object with the crowbar enabled.

Special Features

Special Ores

As you collect blue star tokens, you can unlock skills that make your progression in the game more effective. One of the upgrades in the Machinery tab (found in the skill level menu), is the Special Ore License. This allows you to mine special ore, which slowly accumulates coins while you play. Once you have unlocked this skill, go back to Special Ores and you’ll see a pop-up asking you to spend Gems to start extracting.

Conveyor Belt

Set up conveyor belts to move rocks automatically inside your mine. Once set up, you can choose a direction, place rocks, and watch them move. The rocks will drop off the belt at the end of the ride.

Rock Transformer

The Rock Transformer is a skill available in your skill menu. Once unlocked, it can be purchased from the Shop. It is used to transform one type of rock into another. You can place the Rock Transformer in your mine once obtained and use it in combination with the conveyor belt for efficiency. Here are some of the most notable features of this tool:

• First rock placed inside determines the output type.
• You can reset the rock type by kicking the Transformer.
• It has 100 total uses.

For example, at certain parts of the mine, you will find giant clusters of grey rocks. If you kick them, an explosion will not be triggered. To destroy these rocks, you will need to use the Rock Transformer.

Travel and Navigation

Elevator

Used to travel quickly between the surface and the mine.

Ladders

Build ladders to move vertically. Here’s how to get them:

• Unlock “Hammer Certified” (the Hammer icon in the skill list) by upgrading your Tool Certificates skill.
• Buy the Hammer from Joe’s Mining Shop.
• Enter the mine and tap the Hammer Icon on the left side menu.
• Use the ladder icon in the Construction menu to build walk paths and ladders as you move.
• Tap the hammer icon again to deactivate and press the back arrow to exit construction mode.
• To remove steel ladders, use the crowbar.

Ladder Orbs can be found underground and will spawn 50 ladders instantly. It’s worth remembering that Wooden ladders break after 10 uses, while Steel ladders do not.

How to Pick Up Chests

To pick up placed chests:

1. Unlock the first skill in the Building section of the skill menu.
2. Tap the Build tab from the side menu.
3. Go to the Decorate tab.
4. Use the pickup icon (arrow pointing to a backpack) while standing over the chest to pick it up.
5. The chest will be returned to your inventory.

Tombstone Recovery

When you have the fourth upgrade for the Machinery skill path, you will be able to purchase a Sonar from the store. This will show an on-screen alert signalling where your tombstone is located. This allows you to retrieve your items after dying.

Grandma (Oracle)

Talk to Grandma by standing next to her to accept quests and earn rewards.

How to use Codes?

Follow these steps to redeem codes for free rewards:

• Click the Code tab on the left-side menu.
• Enter the code to redeem it and receive your rewards.
