Embark Studios’ Arc Raiders has reportedly sold over 12 million copies across PC, Xbox Series and PlayStation 5. Following the game’s juggernaut success this holiday, which saw the game become Steam’s number one seller during the Christmas period, the game has hit its highest number of daily active users.
All of this comes from video game analytics firm Alinea Analytics, reported by head of market analysis Rhys Elliot. The analytics firm reveals that the game’s “well-timed 20% discount across all platforms – as well as the holiday engagement boost” has resulted in a huge surge in player counts for the game.
In the report on LinkedIn, Elliot explained that Arc Raiders sold 250,000 copies on Boxing Day alone with daily sales of the game during its ongoing discount period selling “150K-200K across all platforms” every day.
Additionally, January 4, 2026 saw Arc Raiders “highest DAU count to date” across every platform. According to the analytics firm, the game hit an all-time daily active user high of 3.2 million players with 53% of players jumping in on Steam.
At the time of writing, Arc Raiders’ January sales so far have been largely dominated by PC players. The report claims that 53.5% of new copies were sold on Steam with 25.5% on PlayStation 5 and 21% on Xbox Series. Despite the huge gulf in install base between PS5 and Xbox Series, the game’s sales are similar between both consoles.
Embark Studios has yet to reveal the 2026 Arc Raiders roadmap at the time of publication, but there are huge plans in place for the extraction shooter. While the studio has already left weekly updates behind, the team is planning major additions to the game including new maps, new weapons, map conditions, events and more.
In the mean time, players have already discovered some smaller updates coming to the game. Later this month, players will be introduced to the brand-new toxic map condition prior to the game’s second expedition date in February.
