Embark Studiosโ€™ Arc Raiders has been concistently releasing patches for the popular extraction shooter every Thursday since launch, but that is set to change.

As the studio prepares for the upcoming Cold Snap update, which is the last major update of 2025 for the game, Embark has confirmed that patches for the multiplayer game will โ€œnot be on a weekly cadenceโ€.

In the latest patch notes for the game, Embark community lead Ossen confirmed that future patches will be shifting from a Thursday release to a Tuesday release. (The Cold Snap update has also been confirmed for a Tuesday release.) Additionally, patches will now release as needed instead of every week.

โ€œOur goal is to continue to investigate and fix critical issues as soon as we can, but it will not be on a weekly cadence,โ€ the community lead told fans in a Steam Blog post.

Additionally, the end of December and the start of January will see very little updates from Embark as the team takes a โ€œmuch needed breakโ€ before the team returns โ€œready to bring more updatesโ€. However, the community lead confirms that the team will be monitoring โ€œcritical issuesโ€ should they arise.

Ossen explained that the last major content drop of the year โ€œwill bring many different fixesโ€ to the game as well as โ€œnew goodiesโ€ that the team have not revealed. While Cold Snap wonโ€™t be as big as the gameโ€™s Stella Montis update, it does sound bigger than its initial roadmap reveal.

If youโ€™re interested in the gameโ€™s latest patch notes, there really isnโ€™t much to see, but this is whatโ€™s been fixes in the gameโ€™s new 1.6.0 update:

  • Fixed collision that allowed players to vault and fall through a wall in Blue Gate.
  • Fixed material issues that caused multiple objects to not block bullet fire or ARC vision.ย
  • Fixed a gap in the collision on Spaceport Launch Tower that allowed players to be shot through the wall.
  • Removed a zipline that allowed players to get out of bounds on Stella Montis.ย
