The Winterfest event has finally arrived in Fortnite, and you can now get 16 rewards. The event brings a variety of free cosmetics, including two skins. All of these will be available for approximately three weeks, giving you a unique opportunity to add new items to your locker without spending a single V-Buck.
Fortnite presents are located in the Winterfest cabin, and you can open one gift every day. Each box has a unique gift, and this guide will show you which present to open to get the Fortnite item you want.
Which Fortnite present to open to get a free Winterfest skin?
You can unlock free Winterfest skins by opening two large presents in the back of the cabin. However, it’s important to note that you can’t get them right away. To get the frozen variant of the Crash Dummy, you will first have to open seven presents. The hamster is available at the end of the event, once you’ve opened 13 presents in total.
The Glacial Dummy skin is located in the left box, while Cheeks is in the present next to it. You can see all the other rewards from that side of the cabin below.
You will get a daily present at 9 AM Eastern Time during the Winterfest event. Considering that the event ends on January 4, 2026, this gives you more than enough time to open all the gifts and unlock the free rewards. However, if there is an item that you like the most, you can unlock it right away by picking the right present.
The right side of the cabin has a couple of gifts as well, including a pair of instruments.
As you are opening your daily gifts, keep an eye on the Item Shop, as Fortnite has revealed the release dates of the upcoming Winterfest skins. This includes the popular Sabrina Carpenter skin, which you cannot obtain through a Fortnite present in the cabin.
