In an effort to maintain competitive integrity, Embark Studios announced a new anti-cheat system for Arc Raiders. The game developer outlined a new, stricter policy against cheaters, including a permanent ban. The new system, which is in the implementation process, is designed to punish repeated offenders and make the game more enjoyable for everyone.

As revealed in the latest Arc Raiders patch notes, Embark will implement a three-strike progressive ban system. For the first two offenses, cheaters will be banned for 30 and 60 days, respectively. The third strike will be the final one and result in a permanent account ban.

How does a new Arc Raiders anti-cheat system work?

The new anti-cheating policy is designed to get rid of cheaters by increasing the penalty whenever they are caught. Instead of just slapping players on the wrist, Embark will ban them for 30 days instead. The second offense will result in a two-month ban, while the third one is a point of no return.

“A three strikes progressive ban system is in the process of being implemented. Bans will progress from 30 days, to 60 and finally a permaban for repeat offenders,” Embark announced after releasing the Headwinds update.

Even a 30-day ban is long enough to kill any momentum a player has, so players will think twice before cheating. The transparent approach makes it clear that a third strike is the end of the line. Considering that the new anti-cheat system in Arc Raiders is being implemented, we can expect new penalties to start rolling out immediately.
