Atari and Activision team up to re-release 39 classic Atari 2600 games on real, physical cartridges Activision and Atari are collaborating to bring 39 classic games back from the dead. While the duo have teamed up in the past to create modern re-releases on modern platforms, this time they’re reprinting physical cartridges that run on the original Atari 2600.

Described as a “landmark physical collaboration”, the Atari x Activision Collection re-releases are not cheap affairs. Standard edition cartridges of the Atari 2600 games will cost $34.99 each, but they will also be available in more collectible forms as well. It’s worth noting that every cart comes with a woven patch, an enamel pin, and metal trading cards as well.

Only 12 of the 39 cartridges are currently available as standalone releases. The 39 total games will be split between Four Deluxe Box sets titled Treasure, Speed, Secrets, and Victory. The first of these will ship alongside the first selection of cartridges in November with subsequent collections releasing in Spring, Summer, and Fall of 2027.

While the deluxe sets will cost an eye-watering $249.99, but that’s not even the most expensive way to play. If you want to guarantee every reprint of the Atari 2600 cartridges, you’ll have to pick up the Complete Collection which includes all four of the aforementioned Deluxe Sets as well as a currently unannounced collectible. This collection will cost a total of $999.96. Yikes!

The list of included games are as follows:

Treasure Collection (November 2026)
