Fortnite just released its April Fools update, and it’s one of the wildest yet. Over the next 24 hours, players can try out new features, such as shoulder riding, big heads, fall damage immunity, and more. And no, this is not a joke. The update arrived on Wednesday morning and is available for download.

In addition to these new features, Epic Games released new cosmetics and items. In addition, the update added some of the upcoming cosmetics that will be released over the next few weeks.

Fortnite players can now carry each other on their shoulders

With the latest Fortnite update, players can now give their teammates a piggyback ride. The best part is that the new mechanic comes with multistacking, so even players who are being carried can carry someone else. On top of this, everyone has a big head!

Here are all the new features:

• Big Heads – Players have enlarged heads. How does that work on Peely? We had to get a bit creative.
• Finger Guns – Special finger guns go pew pew.
• Shoulder Riding – Players can ride on teammates’ shoulders with multi-stacking capability (infinite, if your balance is good enough?).
• Llama Riding – Rideable Llamas have appeared around the Island. Yeehaw!
• Fall Damage Immunity – Instead of taking fall damage, players make a splat sound when landing.

The April Fools update is live for a limited 24-hour window, running from April 1 at 5:30 AM ET until April 2 at 5:30 AM ET. Once Epic removes it, it likely won’t return for another year. However, considering how fun it is, we hope that some of these features will be permanent, or at least available in separate modes.
