The next Fortnite update will bring back fan-favorite weapons from Chapter 3. A few years ago, Epic Games released so-called EvoChrome weapons, which were available in the last season of the third chapter. What made these weapons unique was their dynamic rarity. In other words, the more damage you dealt with them, the higher their rarity became.

Now, Epic will bring these weapons back. This time, however, they will be called Morphite weapons, and there will be six of them. You’ll be able to use these weapons from any range, whether your enemy is only a few meters away or at a distance.

Fortnite is getting auto-evolving weapons once again

Back in Chapter 3 – Season 4, Fortnite had EvoChrome weapons. These were only available for one season, despite their popularity. Back then, only a shotgun and a burst rifle were included in the loot pool, but the upcoming update will add even more of them.

As Epic Games has already revealed, Morphite weapons will come with the next Fortnite update. These weapons will be added to the Reload mode, alongside storm surfing. They may return to the Battle Royale as well, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

The upcoming loot pool update will bring three close-range weapons, with two of them being shotguns. Two assault rifles will also come, as well as the Morphite Handcannon for long-range damage. All of the weapons will be self-evolving, which means that you’ll increase their rarity by damaging enemies.

Even if you pick up the green Morphite SMG, for example, you can get it to the gold (Legendary) rarity by dealing damage with it. In other words, the more aggressive you are, the better your weapons will be.
