Have you ever wanted to carry an extra item in your Fortnite inventory, yet you weren’t able to? Ever since the game came out, the inventory has been limited to five slots. Occasionally, Epic Games released a couple of “trap” items that could be added to the inventory without consuming a slot, such as the Launch Pad. However, the upcoming update could make things much better for those who want to carry more items.
According to a recent leak, Epic is working on a new item that would expand your inventory. Once you pick it up, you’ll get an extra inventory slot, allowing you to carry six items. Thanks to this, you will no longer have to choose between a medkit or a small shield potion, or between a sniper or a mobility item. You will simply be able to carry it all!
Fortnite will add another slot to the inventory
Hypex, the most popular Fortnite leaker, claims that Epic is working on a new Medallion that would expand the inventory. The Medallion would simply give you a sixth slot after you pick it up, which is a game-changer. However, this also means that only one player in a lobby would have a larger inventory.
Unfortunately, the reputable leaker did not reveal the release date of the upcoming feature. The next Fortnite update is scheduled to come out in the second week of December, and the game developer may release this Medallion with it.
The next few weeks will be very exciting, as Epic will also release the Winterfest event. In fact, the first skin of Winterfest 2025 has already been leaked, and we will likely get many free rewards by participating in the event, including two skins. The upcoming Medallion may also be given to a new boss, who could be released for a limited time during the winter holidays.
Judging from the past few events, we expect Epic to go all out with the upcoming event and bring lots of enjoyable new content.
While waiting for the new Medallion, make sure to level up and unlock all the items in the new Battle Pass. You can do so easily by using one of the Fortnite XP maps. Additionally, you may want to read on how to earn free V-Bucks or check out the best controller settings in Fortnite.
