Now, it’s time to take a step further and launch new collabs with other video games.
The Epic Games Store has attracted millions of users since its launch and has had several exclusives. Recently, Epic announced a plan to tie new releases to Fortnite cosmetics, which will result in over a hundred new crossovers every year. Thanks to this, we expect many more gaming legends to hit the Fortnite universe soon.
Fortnite will be releasing over 100 gaming crossovers annually
Crimson Desert is an upcoming open-world game that is available for pre-order on the Epic Games Store. Players who purchase the game on Epic’s marketplace will receive an exclusive Kliff skin on March 19. According to Steve Allison, the vice president and general manager of the store, Crimson Desert and Resident Evil: Requiem, another upcoming game, are just the beginning of many Fortnite crossovers.
“This is among the first of many Fortnite crossovers led by the Epic Games Store team granted as a with gift with purchase. This program is starting in February with Resident Evil: Requiem and will scale to over 100 partnerships per year. This program was conceived to help developers sell more games. We have a lot of related news coming up that is very exciting and we can’t wait to share it,” Allison posted on X.
Now, this is certainly not new, as Epic has been rewarding Fortnite players with game purchases for a few years now. However, the scale of the project is certainly impressive, as this means that the game developer will be releasing two gaming collaborations per week on average.
Fortnite already has numerous gaming icons, from Kratos and Lara Croft to Chun-Li and Master Chief. At the moment, the battle royale game has 50 gaming legends, and this number will skyrocket by the end of the year.
