Epic Games is reportedly bringing Overwatch skins to Fortnite in early 2026. This year has started off strong, with Epic introducing several new collaborations in the first few weeks, including South Park and The Office. Considering how popular collabs are, Epic won’t stop releasing them, so bringing Overwatch characters makes sense.
This leak comes just two weeks after the leaked Fortnite x Marvel Rivals collaboration. Both Overwatch and Marvel Rivals have dominated the hero shooter genre, and adding their characters to the battle royale game will only make them more popular.
What is the release date of the Fortnite x Overwatch collaboration?
The exact release date of the Fortnite x Overwatch collaboration hasn’t been leaked or revealed yet. However, Shiina, one of the most reputable leakers, claims that Epic Games will release it within the next three months. As a result, we expect it to drop in Chapter 7 – Season 2, which is set to arrive on March 5.
If we’re lucky, the next Fortnite update may include information about this partnership. However, considering that the Marvel Rivals collab will likely arrive by mid-February, we may not get Overwatch skins before.

As of early 2026, Overwatch 2 has 45 characters, and we expect at least three of them to be added to Fortnite as skins. Some of the most iconic characters are Tracer, Mercy, Genji, D.Va, and Soldier: 76. Adding any of these would be exciting, so we are confident that Blizzard and Epic will handle it well.
While waiting for this amazing collaboration, you can earn free V-Bucks. You can also unlock a couple of free Fortnite skins at the moment, and use some of the best XP maps to level up quickly and get more rewards.
