Hawkeye is arguably the strongest hero in Marvel Rivals when used correctly. The Duelist is capable of dealing massive damage to his enemies in a short amount of time, and countering him is sometimes impossible. After all, Clint Barton is capable of taking enemies down with a single shot, which makes him very valuable on the battlefield.
While Hawkeye’s one-shot ability is his biggest strength, it’s also a reason why many Marvel Rivals players want to see him nerfed. The ability itself is fine, but its broken projectile size makes it nearly impossible to deal with him.
Marvel Rivals has a Hawkeye problem
Playing Hawkeye requires good coordination and impeccable aim. Players who can hit shots consistently can take the enemy team down in just a couple of seconds, which shows how powerful the hero. The Duelist is capable of dealing over 300 damage per shot, allowing him to take Strategists down from a distance with a single hit.
A recent Reddit thread shows how unhappy players are with this hero. While the main complaint is about Hawkeye’s one-shot ability, his inconsistent projectile size on Piercing Arrow is a bigger problem. After all, hitting headshots could be challenging and require perfect aim.

Hawkeye is one of the original Marvel Rivals heroes and has been in the game for over a year. Despite this, NetEase hasn’t done much to nerf him, and he can still easily dominate lobbies.
To make things even worse, the Marvel Rivals developer even buffed Hawkeye with Season 5.5. The passive ability, which allows him to deal bonus damage, was buffed from 75 to 90. In other words, the Duelist’s maximum damage per shot was increased by 30, allowing him to take down more Vanguards with two shots.
