Marvel Rivals will have a few more events by the end of the year. NetEase has prepared a winter-themed event in Season 5.5, alongside a New Year’s Eve event in late December. With these, the game will conclude its first full year and enter 2026 in style.
The release date of the Winter Celebration event in Marvel Rivals has been revealed by the game developer, and it will come out in the second week of the new season. The New Year’s Eve event will be available at the end of the month, and you’ll be able to see the ball drop.
How to watch the New Year’s Eve event in Marvel Rivals?
In November 2024, NetEase released the Times Square map in Marvel Rivals. Unlike other maps in the game, this one features no combat. Instead, the game developer uses it for special events. Unsurprisingly, this is the map you will need to join to watch the upcoming event, which is set to take place on Wednesday, December 31.
The upcoming Marvel Rivals event will feature the ball drop, just like in real life. Also, there is a decent chance that NetEase will reward everyone who visits the map in a certain period, so make sure you don’t miss it.
As the game developer revealed in a Season 5.5 roadmap, the event build-up will go live on Friday, December 26. Starting from this day, you’ll be able to join Times Square and see the countdown to 2026. The actual event will take place on the last day of 2025, at midnight UTC, and we expect it to be active for at least 48 hours.
