Marvel Rivals player count is one of the most popular topics in the community. The game peaked at over 644,000 players on Steam in early 2025, but has lost momentum since then. We are in Season 4 now, and the situation isn’t exactly great.

The numbers reveal an interesting trend, so let’s take a look at them. We will see how the player base has changed over the course of the past nine months and how this could affect the game’s future.

How many players does Marvel Rivals have?

Over the last 30 days, Marvel Rivals peaked at 132,100 concurrent players, according to SteamDB. Despite releasing lots of new content with Season 4, NetEase hasn’t been able to gain any momentum with the game. Quite the opposite, as the game’s playerbase has decreased by more than 10%.

Here are the detailed stats:

As you can see, the average player count of Marvel Rivals has also gone down, not just concurrent. In other words, the game now has approximately 79% fewer players on average when compared to its peak.

Is it time to hit the panic button, though? Well, not quite. It’s important to note that this number only shows active players on Steam on PC. Marvel Rivals is also available on Epic Games Store (PC), as well as PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S, which positively contributes to its player count.

Comparing against the peak on Steam is somewhat unfair, as Marvel Rivals had the 15th biggest all-time peak on the platform. It’s still the ninth-most popular game on Steam, according to daily active users, and it’s unlikely that it will drastically drop anytime soon.

Realistically, the game is likely averaging around 180,000 players across all platforms, reaching peaks of 350,000 or more players. The release of Daredevil will probably increase the player count, and it won’t be surprising if it peaks at more than half a million players across all systems.
