All good things come to an end, including a free Marvel Rivals Battle Pass. The new seasonal pass was available through TikTok as one of the free rewards. In addition, players had a chance to unlock other valuable rewards, including free Units and a couple of cosmetic items. Unfortunately, that is no longer the case.
The event was originally supposed to run until mid-February, giving everyone a chance to earn a couple of rewards. While the event is still active, participating in it almost makes no sense at this point, as NetEase has removed all the valuable rewards due to exploits.
The Marvel Rivals event on TikTok has been ruined by exploits
Holding a limited-time Marvel Rivals event on TikTok seemed like a great idea at first. The hero shooter would benefit from expanding its player base, while TikTok would get a spike in active and total users for a while. While the idea looked good on paper, it was ruined in less than two days.
Shortly after the event launched, players realized they could abuse the system using multiple TikTok accounts. Using this method, they would receive multiple Marvel Rivals codes for the same reward. Since each code is unique, this gave them a chance to earn thousands of Units in only a few minutes.
Unfortunately, free Units and the Battle Pass were removed from the TikTok event for the time being. This was done to prevent players from exploiting it, but we hope that NetEase will fix it.
The Marvel Rivals x TikTok event runs until February 14, at 11:59 PM UTC. All codes obtained from it will remain active for two months after the event ends.
Fortunately, you can still unlock free skins in Marvel Rivals, as most of them will be active for a month or two. Also, pay attention to your behavior in the game, as the developer recently announced new penalties and permanent account bans.
