Metal Gear Solid Delta fans react to hilariously bad $200 “Temu made” collector’s edition – “they massacred my boy”

Metal Gear Solid Delta Snake Eater

Konami and Virtuos’ Snake Eater remake Metal Gear Solid Delta is a pretty great remake despite some minor issues. While Hideo Kojima won’t be playing through the remake of his iconic PS2 stealth game, the new release is setting the benchmark for the future of the MGS franchise.

While the game itself may be great, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater fans who bought the game’s expensive Collector’s Edition have found themselves straddled with pricey tat that looks straight out of Wish.

All across social media, fans of the Konami series have reacted to their horrific Collector’s Editions. The pricey game merch comes with a diorama of Naked Snake perched against a tree inside an acrylic box. The issue? It looks terrible.

Alongside the acrylic box itself looking atrocious compared to the almost resin-like finish of the promotional images, the diorama itself looks flat with barely any depth in the paintwork. (Never heard of a black wash, Konami? Come on. Bring out those details.)

The worst offender, by far, is the figurine of Naked Snake. Every version of the Collector’s Edition comes with a figurine that looks nothing like the gorgeously-rendered in-game version of Snake to the point where it looks more like a generic action star than one of the most iconic video game characters of all time.

“Temu made the diorama,” one customer joked. “None of that foliage came with any way to attach it to the diorama, luckily I have glue and stuff from minis I’ve made. Snake is actually Chuck Norris?”

“Look how they massacred my boy,” said another with a sad close-up picture of the figurine.

Collector’s Editions of video games have always been hit or miss, but as the glorious return of Metal Gear Solid, this new remake’s pricey physical celebration has landed like a wet fart.
