We all know how popular Roblox is, but are you aware of just how popular it is? No matter how popular you think it is, it’s not enough… unless you’re pulling that information from the headline above.

In a recent post on Twitter, Roblox CEO David Baszucki revealed that the popular online gaming platform managed to hit its best ever all-time peak of 45 million users all playing at the same time.

“Today over 45M users were on Roblox at the same time, in great games like Steal a Brainrot, Grow a Garden, 99 Nights in the Forest, Blox Fruits, Brookhaven and Dress to Impress (including some fun CCU battles),” the CEO said on Twitter.

The insane popularity of Roblox has even managed to eclipse the reach of Steam, the most popular PC gaming marketplace where the majority of titles are playable. Via PC Gamer, Steam hit its all time peak concurrent users in March 2025, bringing in 40 million players. The highest concurrent peak for a single game on the service is PUBG at 3,257,248, followed by Black Myth: Wukong at 2,415,714.

Despite holding the majority of PC games behind its doors, and a large degree of loyalty from gamers, Roblox has still managed to beat Steam’s concurrent user count. The online platform’s new record appears to be tied to a recent event across its most popular games titled “Admin Abuse War”.

Available on PC, Mobile and console, Roblox is an incredibly accessible game for all gamers, and is extremely popular amongst children. While many compare the popularity of the gaming platform against Fortnite, its popularity is no comparison.

Despite also being one of the most popular online games of all time, Fortnite’s all-time peak player count rests at 14,343,880, 68% less players than Roblox’s peak. As it stands, Roblox’s recent record makes the game the most popular game of all time.
