Velvet Crowe is officially making her return for a new generation. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Tales of Berseria Remastered will bring the Lord of Calamityโs quest for revenge to modern consoles on February 27, 2026.
This remaster marks the third entry in the Tales Remastered Project, and while the original game still holds up remarkably well, this version is all about bridging the gap for modern hardware. By bumping up the resolution and ironing out the performance, Bandai Namco is making sure one of the series’ darkest and most emotional stories feels as sharp as possible in 4K.

Tales of Berseria Remastered Countdown Clock
If youโre not sure where your time zone fits with the above regions, then check out our handy countdown clock below to see exactly when Tales of Berseria Remastered releases in your region:
Tales of Berseria Remastered Platforms
This release marks the first time Berseria will be natively playable on several modern systems, including a long-awaited debut for Xbox fans. You can experience the journey on:
- PlayStation 5: Optimized for native 4K resolution at a stable 60 FPS.
- Xbox Series X|S: Berseriaโs first official appearance on Xbox hardware.
- Nintendo Switch: A specialized port targeting stable performance in both handheld and docked modes.
- PC (through Steam): Also verified for Steam Deck from launch day with various modern graphics toggles.
Note on Switch 2: While Bandai Namco has confirmed that Tales of Arise is getting a native Switch 2 release in May 2026, Berseria Remastered currently only targets the original Switch hardware. However, it will be fully playable on the Nintendo Switch 2 via backward compatibility from day one.

Whatโs New in the Remaster?
Instead of just a simple resolution bump, Bandai Namco has focused on smoothing out the "friction" of a massive JRPG. The biggest change is the Early Grade Shop โ you no longer have to beat the game to access it. You'll start with 11,200 Grade right out of the gate, letting you buy buffs to customize your very first playthrough.
Exploration also feels much snappier. Characters now move 20% faster by default (which applies to your Geoboard, too!), and the map is way more helpful. Youโll see "NEW!" icons on shop tabs, distance markers for your next objective, and icons for every treasure chest and herb on the mini-map from the start. Theyโve even added a Retry function for normal battles, so a bad encounter won't send you all the way back to your last save. Plus, you get over 70 pieces of legacy DLC (including those iconic crossover costumes) ready to use as soon as you open the menu.
Editions and Pre-Order
While we haven't seen a physical collector's edition pop up yet, the digital versions are locked in:
- Standard Edition ($39.99): Includes the remastered base game and all legacy DLC.
- Deluxe Edition ($59.99): The full remastered game and DLCs, plus Digital Artbook & Soundtrack, Battle BGM Pack (customize your combat music), and Super Growth Support Herb Set (boosts stats for your party).
- Pre-order Bonus: All players who pre-order receive the "Super Adventuring Assistance Set," which includes a starting stock of Gels, Life Bottles, and Panacea Bottles.
