Gameplay Features: Whatโ€™s New in 1.0?

The jump to 1.0 introduces Automation, the most significant gameplay expansion since the "Badwater" update. Players can now build intricate logic systems using new sensors and relays to control their colonies. Flow sensors, depth sensors, and chronometers can be linked to floodgates and pumps, allowing your colony to automatically brace for droughts or badtides, without the need for manual intervention.

To complement these smart systems, the full-scale launch adds the Earth Recultivator, a massive end-game Wonder that acts as the ultimate goal for your playthrough. Achieving this requires utilizing the new resource chains and the reworked verticality features, such as spiral stairs and specialized transport bridges. The update also ships with two brand-new maps, Pressure and Oasis, specifically designed to test these new automation tools.

Pricing and Information

Timberbornโ€™s pricing remains consistent with its late 2024 adjustment, which reflected the massive amount of content added during the final stages of Early Access. That means that you can get Timberborn for $34.99 on all platforms. Note that owners of the Early Access version will receive the 1.0 update automatically for free. Existing saves from the "Experimental" branch should remain compatible.
