If you thought your Steam backlog was too big, think again. PC gaming legend SonixLegend has been a hidden online celebrity for their massive collection of games on Valve’s PC gaming marketplace.
In a shocking move, Valve has actually awarded the iconic game hoarder with a Steam achievement specifically for buying as many games as humanly possible.
At the time of writing, SonixLegend, aka Sonix, has managed to collect over 40,000 games on their Steam account. On their Steam profile, the Shanghai-based gamer has a goal of 40,029 games and 22,137 pieces of DLC owned. (It’ll probably increase again by the time you read this.)

On their public profile, they are the only gamer to have the new “Game Collector: 40,000+” achievement which gave them 40,279 XP for their Steam profile. The gamer earned the achievement on September 23, 2025 and has bought an additional 29 games since earning the achievement.
Five years ago, SonixLegend already broke minds by owning 54% of the entire Steam marketplace. Since then, more games have been released on the storefront than ever before including the now-controversial adult-themed titles and the massive horde of quick slop that floods every corner of the store.
Back then, the gamer only (hah) owned 23,070 games and just 69 pieces of DLC. Let’s just say, they’ve had quite the spending spree since 2020.
Out of all of the games in their account, the legendary PC gamer’s most played game is still Alien Swarm, which is available for free on the digital marketplace. In the gamer’s 15 years of using Valve’s store, they’ve managed to get every single Alien Swarm achievement and play over 550 hours of the game.
So, next time you think your backlog is swelling to an unmanageable size, think again. Or maybe that’s bad advice… I mean, we all love a deal, don’t we?
