Marvel Rivals Season 5 is bringing two new heroes to the game in a new love-themed season: Rogue and Gambit. Two X-Men icons, the new season has brought both mutants to the game with their own sets of powers.

With the new season set to released on Friday, November 14, 2025, you can not only play as the new heroes but also explore a brand-new map which appears to be The Collector’s Theme Park. Additionally, the update will add new skins and other cosmetic items to nab.

Gambit Role in Marvel Rivals Season 5

Following the release of Season 5, all Gambit abilities are confirmed by NetEase, with every detail now available for the character. Both Gambit and Rogue were part of the leaked heroes list for months, alongside the upcoming Deadpool and Elsa Bloodstone, but now they’re in the game.

According to the leaks, Gambit is a Strategist character within Marvel Rivals. Just like other Strategists in the game, Gambit focuses on buffing allies and supporting the wider team while also being able to deal a decent amount of damage.

All Gambit Abilities in Marvel Rivals

Alongside the character’s role, Gambit’s abilities have been confirmed in their entirety, alongside a full explenation of what they do.

Nevertheless, Gambit’s abilities are as follows:

  • Kinetic Cards [Left-Click]: Gambit’s primary attack shoots three kinetic cards forwards towards a target that deals explosive damage and heals allies.
  • Healing Hearts [E]: Consume a stack of Sleight fo Hand to conjure a heart card to heal, switching to the Healing Hearts Deck.
  • Bridge Boost [E]: With Healing Hearts selected, trigger a Flush Empowerment to fire the full deck, bouncing cards between allies and healing them.
  • Purifying Pick-Up [F]: With Hearts Deck active, launch a small cluster of cards to nearby allies where explosions will heal and purify targets within the area of effect.
  • Breaking Spades [F]: Consume Sleight of Hand to conjure Spade cards, switching to the Breaking Spades deck for damage buffs.
  • Explosive Trick [F]: With Spades active, fire a full deck of cards towards enemies which explode on impact, dealing damage as well as reducing their healing.
  • Bidding Barrage [E]: With Spades deck active, scatter cards around to deal explosive damage and launch enemies.
  • Ragin’ Royal Flush [Q] – Ultimate: This move allows Gambit to lock onto an ally within his line of sight and release multiple Aces to heal and purity. Both characters enter a Kinetic Transfer state to increase movement speed and jump height while attacks deal additional explosive damage to a single target.
