Marvel Rivals Season 6 is set to arrive on Friday, January 16, and its highlight is the addition of Deadpool, a new hero. For the first time, NetEase will release a fully hybrid hero, which is why we can’t wait to get our hands on Wade Wilson.
Deadpool’s gameplay video has been released, giving us an early look at his abilities and his role. So let’s check everything we know so far.
What will be Deadpool’s role in Marvel Rivals?
Deadpool will be a hybrid hero in Marvel Rivals and won’t have only one role. When you use The Merc with a Mouth, you will be able to be a tank, a damage dealer, or a support hero. In other words, you can pick his playstyle and adjust it on the go during the match.

With his katanas and dual pistols, as well as his flexibility, Deadpool is the most versatile Marvel Rivals hero. When used correctly, he will be a game-changer who can easily trick the opposing team.
Marvel Rivals Deadpool abilities
As an incredibly versatile character, Marvel Rivals will focus on a few of Deadpool’s most unique skills when it comes to adapting his character in the game. With the team at NetEase aiming to make sure every hero’s uniqueness shines through in their gameplay, including making Daredevil effectively blind, it’s no surprise that is versatile and capable of breaking the fourth wall.
As a Duelist, Deadpool will be able to use his Katanas and Dual Pistols to deal damage to his enemies. In addition, he will have three more abilities, and it appears that one of them will allow him to double jump.

As a Vanguard, Deadpool receives a Unicorn Plushie that gives out shields to allies. Finally, the upcoming Marvel Rivals hero can use his weapons to heal his allies as a Strategist. He will be similar to other heroes, like Loki and Invisible Woman, who can both damage enemies and heal allies with their primary fire.
Now, what makes Deadpool even more special is that he can level up his abilities during the match. He can also charge up his ultimate ability faster, depending on the way you use him, and gain a role-specific buff.
Deadpool also has a passive ability that hasn’t been revealed yet. However, as the image above shows, it will likely have something to do with his regeneration. We expect the hero to regenerate his health while out of combat for a few seconds, which would make him a lot more effective.
Deadpool Team-Up with Jeff
As Marvel Rivals Season 6 patch notes reveal, Deadpool will have a special Team-Up with Jeff the Land Shark. When the two team up, Jeff will be able to spit out a toy that sprays water around it, healing his allies and creating a visual interference effect for enemies.

When is Deadpool coming to Marvel Rivals?
Deadpool is set to come to Marvel Rivals with Season 6 on January 16, 2026. He will be the first character to come to the game in 2026, followed by Elsa Bloodstone in February. Only then will we be able to tell how he ranks against other duelists once he’s unleashed on the rest of the game’s roster. With his abilities, he might actually be able to reinforce the memeable 3-Duelists team comp!
Who is Deadpool’s voice actor in Marvel Rivals?
One of the biggest mysteries in the Marvel Rivals community is about who voices Deadpool in the game. The voice actor has been officially revealed by NetEase, and it is Alejandro Saab. Saab is a prominent actor who’s landed numerous roles over the past decade, including Naomasa Tsukauchi (My Hero Academia), Cyno (Genshin Impact), and Rafa The Exo-Soldier (Borderlands 4).
