A new datamining leak for Embark Studios’ Arc Raiders has seemingly revealed a host of new content coming to the extraction shooter. While nothing in the leak is concrete, the dataminer published a large string of code that points to a number of additions on their way.

Alongside a brand-new map, the leaker claims that player trading is in the works for the game. Additionally, there’s evidence towards brand-new map conditions, enemies, and more on the way. Of course, everything should be taken with a grain of salt, especially as this is the largest leak by far for the multiplayer game.

Arc Raiders Frozen Trail Map

While Embark has not officially announced or teased the game’s next map, files found within the game point to a new frozen wasteland. Found within the files of Arc’s latest major update, Riven Tides, multiple references exist for the game’s next map.

Seemingly named Frozen Trail, the upcoming map may be a larger-sized map than the game’s last two additions: Stella Montis and Riven Tides. The references for the upcoming map currently has six major points of interest, hinting at a quite sizeable location. According to the files, players will be able to visit the following POIs:

  • Central Station
  • Factory
  • Loading Platform
  • Observatory
  • Railyard
  • Village

Player Trading Feature

One reference found within the leak claims that player trading is on the way for the popular multiplayer game. Originally proposed by CEO Patrick Soderland last year, player trading was pitched as an idea to make the game more social as the team plans to expand its Speranza hub.

In the files, there’s a reference to the trading mechanic. It says, “At the shady SPERANZA PIAZZA you will be able to trade with other RAIDERS.” While there is a reference to the mechanic, there’s no evidence that it is currently far in production at the time of publication.

New Frigate Enemy and Map Conditions

According to the leak, players will soon be able to experience a brand-new ARC enemy in some future update. While plans could change, the current dataminie claims that a new large-scale ARC known as a “Frigate” will join the game.

This enemy, which is seemingly related to the UFOs found in Shrouded Sky and the new Turbine enemy, would be able to fly around the map. Additionally, players would be able to climb and board the enemy, maybe even being able to take it out by climbing inside it.

Additionally, a new map condition has been found within the game’s files which would allow multiple Queens to spawn on the same map. Simply called “The Queens”, multiple large-scale enemies will fill the map, although other enemies may be absent.

Arc Raiders Clan Feature

Finally, one other reference found within the game will see the arrival of official Clans to Arc Raiders. According to the dataminer, players will be able to select the main focus of their clan. The particular string discovered highlights “playstyles” which would allow Clan leaders to form PvP, PvE, Quest-focused, or general clans.

This would mean that players who jump into Arc Raiders specifically to work with others would be able to find like-minded PvE players. On the other hand, players who love the thrill of the kill would be able to team up with others looking to PvP.

With all of these features, it seems that Arc Raiders might be expanding in some massive ways in the future. Of course, as with any leak, it’s worth taking all of this with a grain of salt. However, considering the trajectory of what official devs have said about the game’s future, none of these leaks are too far out of left field.
