Embark Studios’ Arc Raiders is the best-selling game on Steam during the PC gaming storefront’s Christmas season. Following an already strong launch with millions of players, the popular extraction shooter is continuing to grow despite being a paid experience.

While experienced players now gear up for the game’s second expedition date and prepare for the upcoming toxic map condition, Arc Raiders is continuing to grow with a large influx of new players joining the sometimes calm, sometimes horrific Rust Belt.

SteamDB, which tracks game popularity and updates to Steam games, collated a list of the top ten best-selling games over the Christmas week. (That would be from December 23, 2025 to December 30, 2025.) In the first position, Embark Studios’ extraction shooter takes the win.

With second position taken up by Steam Deck—which does count as a game in Steam’s backend—the actual second best-selling game is EA’s Battlefield 6, quickly followed-up by the multi-award winning Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.

The remaining best-selling games are as follows:

Baldur’s Gate 3
EA Sports FC 26
Dispatch
Cyberpunk 2077
Kingdom Come: Deliverance II
Grand Theft Auto V Enhanced

As Steam no longer releases specific sales figures for games on the storefront, it’s unknown how many copies Arc Raiders managed to sell during the week of Christmas. Nevertheless, considering the game’s placement at the top spot for the biggest video game storefront around, the number is obviously quite large.

While Arc Raiders developer Embark Studios has already moved away from weekly patches for the brand-new extraction shooter, there are huge plans ahead for the game. With the game’s Cold Snap update already showing what minor events in the game will have to offer, Embark has created a fantastic platform for future content drops.

At the time of writing, Embark has not revealed its 2026 roadmap for Arc Raiders. As the studio is currently on Christmas break until the middle of January, we still have a long wait until we’ll know exactly what the studio has in store for 2026.
