Death Stranding 2: On the Beach PC port likely around the corner after ESRB rating surfaces

Hideo Kojima’s PS5 exclusive sequel Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is seemingly coming to PC sooner than expected.

Following the game’s release in July 2025, an ESRB rating for the game’s PC version has been spotted, hinting at an upcoming port of the massively popular game.

While the rating doesn’t mention a publisher or release date, it does hint that the game’s expected PC port is coming sooner than expected. For comparison, it took around eight months for the original game to launch on PC, and multiple years for the title to hit Xbox.

It’s only been around five months since Death Stranding 2: On the Beach hit PlayStation 5 consoles, but the game could take a few more months to actually launch. It’s also not known who is behind the upcoming port with the ESRB rating only mentioning Kojima Productions.

Hideo Kojima has been keen to get his games on as many platforms as possible with the original game in the series now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, PC, MacOS, and even iOS on iPhone, iPad and Apple Vision Pro.

It’s unclear what the exclusivity period of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach actually is and whether or not the game could come to Xbox consoles later on down the line. However, a PC port of the game has been deemed inevitable, especially with PlayStation releasing so many of their own first-party games on the platform.

While no announcement has been made regarding this PC version, we would expect to see the game’s PC port pop up sometime during The Game Awards in December. After all, Game Awards host Geoff Keighley does love to support Hideo Kojima.

Following the release of Death Stranding 2: On the Beach, Hideo Kojima is now in full development of his upcoming Xbox and PC exclusive horror experience: OD. Make in Unreal Engine 5, the new game will include multiple horror scenarios in collaboration with Jordan Peele.
