The new Fortnite Halloween event brings a free skin you can unlock for a limited time! Fortnitemares 2025 has added numerous iconic characters, from Ghostface to Jason Voorhees. However, Epic Games has also released several original skins, and you can get one of them without spending a single V-Bucks!
In this guide, we will explain how you can unlock Pyg the Butcher for free. During the unlocking process, you will also unlock a couple of other cosmetics, including an emote and a pickaxe. All of these rewards are available during the Fortnite Halloween event and may be exclusive to it.

The new Halloween event brings Pyg the Butcher as a free Fortnite skin. However, the skin is not the only cosmetic item you can unlock, as the entire bundle is available throughout the event! The best part? You can unlock it easily, as it requires no special tasks.
The bundle includes a skin, an emote, a pickaxe, and a back bling. To unlock all of these items, you simply need to earn Account Levels by the end of the Fortnitemares event, which is set for November 1. In other words, to get the skin and other rewards, you need to gain levels by the end of the current season.
Once you earn 15 levels, you will add the free Pyg the Butcher skin to your Fortnite account. As you level up during the event, you’ll unlock all the other rewards, including two loading screens.
Keep in mind that you need to unlock the skin by November 1, as it may not return in the future. Furthermore, don’t forget to get a free Sprite back bling!
