Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 x Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond officially releases on August 12th, 2026.
The game’s third Legendary Warbond after its Killzone and Halo crossovers, the long-awaited Warhammer 40,000 crossover will launch later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series machines.
At the slightly increased price of 1,700 Super Credits, the new Legendary Warbond promises to improve your “changes of survival with potent weapons, formidable armour, and so much more”.
Announced in a recent trailer, the new Warbond introduced the TG-8 Sharpshooter and TG-122 Demo-Trooper armours. Alongside the two armour sets, the upcoming Warbond will also introduce four new weapons, including a grenade alternative. The armours will all have the True Grit passive.
The weapons include the R/40-K Hot-Shot Marksman Rifle based off the Hotshot Marksman Rifle. The new P/40-K Bolt-Pistol is based off 40K’s smaller standard bolter whereas the new 40-K Meltagun is based off the iconic Meltagun anti-armour weapon from the tabletop game.
In an interesting twist, the new Legendary Warbond also includes a new grenade type, the G/40-K Meltamine. This new grenade type is obviously based off the anti-vehicle Melta Mine from Warhammer 40K, allowing you to deal devastating damage by lobbing it at enemy tanks.
Of course, just like any Helldivers 2 Warbond, the new 40K crossover also includes patterns for every vehicle in the game. Unfortunately, though, they aren’t anything very special, especially compared to the previous Halo Legendary Warbond. The Warbond also includes two new capes and the “Still Standing” player title.
In a surprise twist, the Warhammer 40,000 Legendary Warbond for Helldivers 2 lacks any Space Marine themed goodies. However, considering the fact that Helldivers’ crossovers have been keen to stay in line with the power level of the Helldivers themselves, it makes sense that the iconic hulking icons of 40K aren’t present in this crossover.
