The Christmas holidays are closely approaching, and every live service game is bound to introduce some form of annual cheer. Behaviour Interactive are no different with new Dead by Daylight Christmas skin leaks revealing brand-new looks for some of your favourite characters.
In a recent datamine of the Dead by Daylight 9.3.0 update, renowned laker Wazzup found many major references and assets relating to the game’s upcoming Winter Event 2025. While not everything may be the same as it will on release day, the leak contains numerous skins, game mechanics and more for the event. (We would also expect more Dead by Daylight codes to release as well.)
Dead by Daylight Winter Event 2025 ability
Shared in a number of Reddit posts, Wazzup revealed that the Winter Event will revolve around a new “Icy Snowskull” holiday event ability. By holding the event button, characters will enter a two-second interaction that consumes four snowskull charges to throw an Icy Snowskull.
Different items react differently when hit with the Icy Snowskull. For example, a pallet cannot be dropped for 7 seconds when hit with the event ability, and a dropped pallet cannot be destroyed or vaulted over for 7 seconds.
Additionally, killers can also freeze objects by consuming four snowskulls by manually interacting with them. For example, a generator is covered in a layer of snow that takes 2.5 seconds to remove. A killer is able to create up to three layers of snow on top of a generator which stops it from being repaired until the snow is cleared.
Dead by Daylight Christmas Skins 2025
Alongside the new holiday mechanic, the new event will also add a host of event cosmetics to the game with Christmas sweaters for survivors Jake, Elodie and Mikaela. Players will also be able to unlock a Krampus banner just by playing the event.
In a second Reddit thread, the leaker revealed that there are a number of skins that will be added during the Dead by Daylight Winter Event. Star of the show is the Ice Queen Krasue outfit, which appears to be unlockable for free by simply playing the event.
However, alongside that skin, players will also be able to unlock a Santa-themed skin for Ghost Face, and a Christmas sweater and Santa had skin for Chucky. Survivors also have something to look forward to with unlockable “ugly sweaters” for Orela, Rick, Michonne and Vee.
All in all, Behaviour is planning for a very merry event with these upcoming Dead by Daylight Christmas skin. Well, as merry as you can get while running away from a killer… or running towards a survivor.
Dead by Daylight is currently in its 9th year of service, and the asymmetrical horror multiplayer game is still going strong. While the developers behind the project have said that things need to change to keep the game going “forever”, the multiplayer game is still a massive hit.
