Embark Studios’ next major threat for Arc Raiders has seemingly been teased with the presence of new UFO enemies hidden in the winds of the ongoing Shrouded Sky update. However, it seems that the game’s new enemies are getting bolder, potentially teasing the game’s upcoming new map.
As the gale force winds of Arc Raiders’ ongoing hurricane map condition continue to blast through the game’s maps, players have noticed even more UFO-style enemies are floating through the environment.
One video, filmed on the Buried City, showed a crew of UFOs flying through the sky above players as the fought Arcs on a rooftop. The UFOs have also been spotted on the game’s Spaceport map, seemingly all flying in the same direction: south, south-west.
According to the game’s roadmap, a brand-new map is coming to Arc Raiders with the game’s Riven Tides update in April. Additionally, the game will receive a new Arc threat in March’s Flashpoint update, which could bring the game’s UFOs to the enemy pool before the new map’s releaase.
If we look at the game’s current map selection, the area south, south-east of Buried City is largely bare. The upcoming map will be added for the Riven Tides update, likely being situated near water. With this in mind, we should expect the new map to located to the east of Volcano Rise, likely connecting to the Coast of Calabretta.

To be fair, this is one of the few areas of the Arc Raiders map that would make sense for a new location right now, although the area to the south of the Blue Gate would also be a decent locale. With this in mind, as Arc Raiders continues to expand, we may actually see players travelling outside of the Rust Belt as the game continues to add more maps.
Right now, Embark Studios is expecting to release multiple new maps to the game over the course of 2026. With the first map scheduled to go live in April, we would expect a second map in August, and a final map in December.
