Lock and load, soldiers. After a brief delay to polish the frontlines, DICE and EA have officially confirmed that Battlefield 6 Season 2 is set to deploy soon. This new season, titled REDSEC Rising, is a pivotal moment for the game. Following a mixed reception to the first season, the developers have used the extra few weeks of development time to address major community complaints โ specifically around map flow, vehicle balance, and the “time-to-action” in their massive 128-player battles. With that in mind, letโs see when we begin our deployment.
Battlefield 6 Season 2 Start Date and Times
Battlefield 6 Season 2 will launch simultaneously across all platforms on February 17, 2026. Unlike some titles that stagger releases, Battlefield 6 updates typically go live during the morning hours in the US to allow the team at DICE to monitor server stability throughout the day.

Battlefield 6 Season 2 Countdown Clock
If youโre not sure where your time zone fits with the above regions, then check out our handy countdown clock below to see exactly when Season 2 launches in your region:
New Maps
The launch map for Season 2 is called Contaminated, a medium-to-large-scale arena set in an abandoned mountainous military installation. It is specifically designed to address "time-to-action" concerns, sitting in size between the launch maps Eastwood and Mirak Valley. The theme focuses on chemical warfare, with green gas zones that affect visibility and require tactical positioning.
Later in the season, fans of the franchise can look forward to the return of Golmud Railway. DICE is rebuilding this Battlefield 4 classic from the ground up to support 128 players, making it the largest map in Battlefield 6 to date.

New Weapons and the Return of the Little Bird
The AH-6 Little Bird scout helicopter officially joins the roster this season. It has been heavily tested in Battlefield Labs to make sure that its agility doesn't break the current infantry-to-vehicle balance.
As for the infantry, four new weapons are officially confirmed for the Season 2 Battle Pass:
- MG5 (LMG): A heavy suppression tool for holding objectives.
- Bren 2 (Assault Rifle): A versatile choice for mid-range skirmishes.
- Scorpion Evo 3 (SMG): A high-fire-rate option for close-quarters fighting.
- ล korpion vz. 61 (Machine Pistol): A fast-drawing secondary weapon.
Season 2 Battle Pass
The Season 2 Battle Pass follows the established 100-tier system. While all gameplay-impacting items like weapons and gadgets are on the Free Track, the Premium Track (costing $9.99 / 1100 BFC) unlocks dozens of "tacticool" cosmetics.
If youโre a die-hard fan, the Battlefield Pro Tier ($24.99) returns, offering 25 instant tier skips and access to the "Exclusive Assignments" path. Notably, those who own the Phantom Edition of the game will receive the Season 2 Pro Pass for free as part of their year-one content guarantee.
The Frostfire Bonus Path & Login Rewards
Because of the season's delay, EA has launched the Frostfire Bonus Path. If you log in before the Season 2 launch on February 17, you can still claim exclusive weapon bundles and soldier skins on this temporary track. Additionally, a special Valentine's Day event will take place during the weekend of February 14, offering Double XP to help players finish their Season 1 Battle Pass before it is replaced.
