Epic Games is preparing a special Fortnite Community Day to close out the season, and the community has officially made its choice. The event, which is scheduled for May 30, brings gameplay changes designed to “end the season with a bang.” On top of this, the game developer will release rare rewards that can be obtained for free.
To make the upcoming Fortnite event even more interesting, Epic has allowed the community to vote on the gameplay changes. In the end, the winning combination ended up being Finger Guns and larger Pizza Slice stack sizes. The modifiers will temporarily make matches far more chaotic for 24 hours, but they are only part of the event.
The Fortnite Community Day will bring free rewards, and they will be rare
Tofu Chris, one of the Epic Games developers, shared new details about the upcoming event. He revealed that the Fortnite Community Day will feature at least five rewards. On top of this, the rewards will be rare, which likely means that they either haven’t been available for a while or that they will be exclusive to the event.
While the developer hasn’t revealed the rewards yet, he confirmed that they will be available for the entire day. With players having a full 24-hour window to claim or earn them during the event, there will be no need to rush. Furthermore, the rewards will be available for players in every time zone.
At the moment, there is no information on how these rewards will be earned. However, there is a good chance that they will be obtainable through participating in the event and completing a couple of quests.
The community has already begun theorizing what the rewards will be. While some players expect simple cosmetics, like sprays and emoticons, others think that Epic Games will reward them with a free skin.
One of the unreleased skins, Plantina, could be a reward during the Fortnite Community Day. This skin has been in the game files since November 2025, but Epic hasn’t released it yet. There is no guarantee that the event will bring a free skin, though, so we will have to wait a bit longer to find out more information about the event.
