With Epic Games releasing Sidekicks in late 2025, opening up new possibilities that the company will capitalize on.
According to a new leak, Fortnite will soon release a new Sidekick that will become an instant best-seller. Considering how popular these companion pets have been, we have no reason to doubt it, especially if the mysterious Sidekick is Mickey Mouse.
Will Mickey Mouse come to Fortnite?
The source of the information is Drew the Disney Dude, who has a good track record. The creator claims that this upcoming Disney Sidekick will be a massive hit.
“I cannot leak this character that’s in development right now, but I know for a fact there is a major classic Disney character coming to the game sooner rather than later,” the content creator said in his latest video. “That will be an instant best-seller once it happens,” he added.
The creator also brought up several other Disney-owned Sidekicks in Fortnite, such as Baby Groot and Itchy and Scratchy. “Baby Groot is just the first of many Disney Sidekicks. Do not sleep on these. It will be a key, a massive part of this entire partnership,” he added.
Drew the Disney Dude also pointed out that Sidekicks offer a perfect way for Epic and Disney to collaborate, since companions cannot hold or use weapons. He specifically believes Epic introduced Sidekicks primarily to facilitate this collaboration.
