If you ever wanted to be rewarded for causing problems in Fortnite, Epic Games has an interesting offer for you! Log in this afternoon, test an upcoming live event, and you’ll receive an XP boost. The game developer will release a test event on Thursday and Friday, giving you a chance to break servers and be rewarded for it.

The next Fortnite live event is less than 10 days away, which is why Epic is making sure it goes smoothly. The event will likely have millions of concurrent players, which is why today’s test is very significant.

How to join a test event in Fortnite?

On Thursday and Friday, you will be able to find a new playlist named Epic Event Test. The playlist will be active on both days at 1:40 PM Eastern Time, and to join it, all you need to do is select the game mode and ready up.

Once you get into the test mode, you will receive 80,000 XP, which is enough for one Battle Pass level. Considering how easy the task is, this is certainly the quickest way to earn a level in Fortnite. The XP won’t be granted right away, though, as eligible players will receive it later this week.

It’s important to note that you will not be able to see the actual live event. “You won’t actually see the live event – no spoilers here (sorry, not sorry),” Epic posted on the Fortnite Status account on X. “Thanks for the help slamming our server configurations to make sure everything runs smoothly!”

This is strictly a technical test to ensure server stability for the chapter-ending event, which is scheduled for November 29. If you’d like to help Epic and be rewarded for it, make sure to get into the game at 1:40 PM ET and queue up for the limited-time test mode!
