With the release of Fortnite Chapter 7, Epic Games introduced daily ranked cups. These cups allow players to win valuable cosmetic items while competing against each other. The skins from the cup are open to players who have reached the Platinum or a higher rank. However, a recent bug granted many players a free skin, despite them not meeting the criteria.
Epic has released a couple of free skins over the past few days, including Felinos and Rosette Tigeress. While the first skin requires completing a couple of quests, the second one has already been obtained by a lot of players. Many of them got it because of the bug, and here’s what we know about it.
Many Fortnite players received a free skin because of a bug
Daily Fortnite cups in Chapter 7 bring numerous cosmetic items, from gliders to skins. In the second week of December, players can unlock Rosette Tigeress, as well as her matching accessories. While some of these items are available in every rank, the skin is exclusive to those who play in the Platinum or higher division.
However, a recent bug caused Fortnite to give the free skin to Bronze players. Interestingly, unlocking the skin only required players to score 30 points, which was an easy task.
While players in higher ranks needed to fight hard and finish as high on the leaderboard as possible, Bronze players had it easy. It appears that all of the players have kept the skin they unlocked through the cup, although Epic Games may remove it from their lockers with the next Fortnite update.
