A long-rumored Fortnite x Kingdom Hearts collaboration may finally be moving closer. According to a new leak, Rocket League is adding a Kingdom Hearts anthem in its next update, which could point to a wider Epic Games crossover happening soon.
For now, Epic Games has not officially announced the collaboration, so this should still be treated as a leak. However, the timing is interesting, especially because Kingdom Hearts IV recently received a new teaser. Considering that this Fortnite collaboration was first leaked more than two years ago, there’s a good chance that its release date is right around the corner.
Fortnite x Disney partnership may soon bring the Kingdom Hearts collab
Kingdom Hearts IV is the next main installment in the RPG series. Its release date hasn’t been revealed yet, although it is expected to come out in either late 2026 or early 2027. Due to this, a Fortnite crossover would make sense as part of its marketing.
Fortnite has become one of the easiest ways to put upcoming releases in front of millions of players before launch. Earlier this year, Epic Games revealed a plan to release more than a hundred gaming crossovers every year, so Kingdom Hearts would be a natural choice.
If the collaboration happens, Sora would be the obvious headline skin. A Keyblade pickaxe also feels like the safest cosmetic bet. Depending on how big the crossover is, Epic could also add a glider, emote, wrap, or music track tied to the series. Furthermore, there’s a good chance that the collab will include a new UEFN map.
Disney’s growing presence in Fortnite makes this collab feel more realistic than it might have been a few years ago, especially with the two companies working on a large-scale partnership that even involves Disney parks. For now, however, the question is whether this will be just a Rocket League cosmetic or a sign of a full Fortnite release.
