The latest Fortnite update brought Fall Guys Crown Jam, a new arcade game mode. This mode combines Fortnite, Fall Guys, and basketball, and it’s turned out to be a fun mix. Unfortunately, one thing that hasn’t been fun is all the bans that players have received in the first week.
The mode features a three-on-three game of basketball. You can tackle your opponents, shoot long-distance shots, or dunk the ball when you get close to the rim. However, if you leave the game, even during the winner announcement, you may receive a Fortnite ban.
Fortnite has been giving out mass bans in the new game mode
The basketball game mode was released on Friday, January 23, peaking at just under 70,000 concurrent players over the weekend. Crown Jam has attracted millions of players in its first few days, but unfortunately, it has a big problem.
Fortnite has banned numerous players since the game mode launched, claiming they left early. The good news is that these bans usually last only a couple of minutes, though repeated offenders can be banned for 24 hours or longer. On the other hand, many players claim that they were unfairly banned.

As soon as the match ends, players are shown a post-game screen that displays all participants and the scoreboard. However, it appears that quitting the match on this screen results in a matchmaking ban. The screen takes only a few seconds, which isn’t a big deal, but players should be aware of it.
The new Fortnite game mode has had a couple of other issues, and Epic is working on fixing them. Hopefully, the game developer will figure out the issue that triggers bans as well. In the meantime, if you decide to play the game mode, make sure to stay in the match until its very end. It will only take you a few seconds, yet you will surely avoid a matchmaking ban.
