Fortnite players just got another surprise return, as Epic Games brought back the Ace Pack. The pack has returned after nearly eight years away from the shop. Before this return, the skin had not been available since November 5, 2018, making it one of the rarest Fortnite skins of all time.
The Ace Pack returned to Fortnite on Monday, June 9, giving millions of players a new chance to purchase a cosmetic that was previously owned by only a small part of the player base. Due to its long absence, The Ace was considered the third-rarest skin in the game before its re-release.

The bundle includes The Ace outfit, the Swag Bag Back Bling, and 600 V-Bucks, making it more than just a standard skin return. Since the pack was originally tied to an older promotion, many newer players never had a realistic chance to add it to their lockers before now.
Its return is another example of Epic Games bringing back older Fortnite cosmetics that were once considered nearly untouchable. While some players enjoy seeing rare items become available again, others prefer when older skins keep their original exclusivity and remain a sign of when someone played.
The Ace had been missing for over seven years, and cosmetics with that kind of gap usually attract a lot of attention whenever they return, especially when they were ranked among the rarest skins in the game. However, this also means that the skin has lost its rarity.
The Swag Bag Back Bling also gives the pack extra value, while the included 600 V-Bucks make the offer more appealing. The entire pack only costs $4.99 and is one of the best deals in the game. However, the main reason most players will care is the outfit’s history.
With The Ace returning to the game, Wingman and Rogue Agent are the rarest shop skins at the moment. They were last seen in August and June 2018, respectively.
In the meantime, players who want to further expand their lockers can unlock a couple of free skins in Fortnite. With the new Battle Pass out, players can also use some of the best XP maps to level up quickly and unlock more cosmetics.
