Fortnite just released the first major update of Chapter 7 – Season 1. The update arrived less than two weeks after the launch of the new chapter, and it has brought some big things. Interestingly, Epic Games decided to boost V-Bucks with the latest update, yet the price of the premium currency has remained the same.

This is a pleasant surprise, and we expect the latest V-Bucks bundle to be one of the best-selling items. In the future, we may also get a boost for regular V-Bucks bundles, which would be Epic!

The latest update has brought a new version of the Shaka Surfin’ Starter Pack. The pack includes the Malibu skin and her matching accessories, as well as 1,000 V-Bucks. This is the first starter pack in Fortnite that has this amount of the premium currency, as all the packs in the past had 600 V-Bucks.

The pack is currently available in the shop with 600 V-Bucks. However, the new version of it will be released on Thursday night at 7 PM ET.

Interestingly, despite an increased amount of V-Bucks, Epic Games has not changed the price of the pack. It still costs $4.49, making it a perfect deal. To put it into perspective, purchasing a regular bundle of 1,000 V-Bucks costs $8.99. The regular bundle contains no additional cosmetics, which is why the new starter pack is just amazing.

The only downside is that you can purchase the starter pack only once. However, we hope that Epic will increase the amounts of V-Bucks in regular bundles in the future.

Fortnite players who purchased the Chapter 7 Starter Pack before the update will likely get 400 V-Bucks in their accounts within a few days.

While V-Bucks are slightly cheaper now than they were when Fortnite just came out, spending $8.99 on 1,000 V-Bucks is still too much. You get the best deal by purchasing a bundle of 13,500 V-Bucks for $89.99. Unfortunately, spending this amount on a single purchase is not something many players can afford. The good news is that Epic Games offers a 20% cashback when purchasing items from the Epic Games Store. Thanks to this, your future purchases will be much cheaper.
