In the first eight years of Fortnite, the storm was more or less the same. While Epic Games changed its visual effects and damage values, its shape was always circular. However, this all changed in November 2025, as the game developer changed the storm’s shape to number seven, teasing a new chapter of the game.
Chapter 7 has brought a lot of new content, but Epic won’t stop making changes anytime soon. We have the Winterfest 2025 event on the horizon, and this event will bring new shapes of the storm. One of them will be a Christmas tree, which is a bold but welcome move by the game creator.
The upcoming Fortnite storm will have the Christmas tree shape
Loolo, a reputable Fortnite leaker, recently shared a video of the upcoming storm shapes. The circular shape will stay in the game, but players will also be able to get triangular and rectangular shapes, the shape of a Christmas tree, an arrow shape, and much more. All of these new shapes will make the game more fun and also quite challenging.
According to Shiina, another popular leaker, the Christmas tree storm will be active during the upcoming Winterfest event. Due to this, we expect the storm overhaul to arrive with the next Fortnite update on Thursday, December 11.

The next few weeks will be very exciting for Fortnite players, as the first major update of Chapter 7 – Season 1 is around the corner. The Winterfest event will bring new gameplay elements, as well as new free Fortnite skins, giving the community many things to be excited about.
