Epic Games has unvaulted numerous rare cosmetics in Fortnite lately. Even Renegade Raider, which used to be the rarest skin in the game, returned in December 2024. On Monday night, the game creator brought back one of the rarest cosmetics in the game, to the surprise of many players.
While many players only care about the rarest Fortnite skins, some of the rarest items are pickaxes and gliders. Three of these items returned on Monday, and they will stay in the Item Shop for a few days in case you want to obtain them.
The ultra-rare bundle returned to Fortnite after five years
The Frozen Gear bundle, which includes two pickaxes and a glider, returned to Fortnite with the last Item Shop reset. The bundle has winter-themed cosmetics, so it’s no surprise that Epic Games brought it back. However, it is quite surprising that these items were vaulted for so long.
Epic released these items during Chapter 2 – Season 2, on December 1, 2020. They were only available for five days in the shop before they were vaulted for more than five years. Now, they are back, and you can purchase them for 1,000 V-Bucks.

The bundle will leave the shop on December 19 at 1 AM UTC. Once it’s gone, no one knows how long it will be vaulted, so make sure to grab it if you like the items. These cosmetics are perfect for winter-themed skins, and you can combine them with the upcoming free Winterfest skins.
If you want to get even more cosmetics, check out the deal that gives you 17 skins, 2,500 V-Bucks, and other cosmetics for only $1. If you don’t have enough funds in your account, you can earn free V-Bucks through the Battle Pass, which you can easily do using the best XP maps in Fortnite.
