Epic Games has once again prepared massive grants for Fortnite players. Those interested in map creation can now get up to $150,000 for their projects, which is undoubtedly more than enough to cover all the costs. The application period ends on September 22, giving creators more than a month to prepare their pitches.

This article will reveal everything you need to know about Epic MegaGrants. If you are interested in creating Fortnite maps, this is a perfect opportunity to kickstart your project!

How to apply for a Fortnite grant?

With the release of UEFN in March 2023, Epic Games added tons of new tools for map creators. From custom animations and 3D objects to scripting, these tools have taken Fortnite to a new level. Now, the company is looking for innovative creators to take it a step further. The second cycle of Epic MegaGrants is now open and ends on September 22 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.

The best part? The program is open to everyone! Even if you’re not a map creator, you can apply for it and get funding for your project, as long as you have a great idea and know how to present it properly. Furthermore, these grants have no regional restrictions.

If you’d like to apply, please visit the Epic MegaGrants website. You will be asked to provide all the relevant information about your project, including the team size, unique features, funding range you request, how you will use the grant, and more. To increase your chances of getting approved, write a detailed pitch that outlines everything your project is about. Furthermore, set a realistic budget for your project and provide its breakdown, such as developer training, hardware cost, purchase of assets, and similar.

Anyone can apply, from individuals to small studios, making these grants extremely valuable. Grants up to $25,000 are sent as a single payment, while larger grants are typically paid out in several installments. So far, Epic Games has supported over 2,000 grants, and this number will only get bigger.

It’s important to note that the second cycle of MegaGrants will end on September 22, after which Epic will take approximately two months to review all the projects. Decisions will be sent to applicants between December 1 and December 5.
