Arrowhead has just announced Helldivers 2 Exo Experts, the next major warbond for the popular multiplayer shooter.
Releasing in late April, the new Exo Experts Warbond sees the addition of a brand-new Exosuit to the game alongside a slew of new weapons to power up your arsenal for the galactic war.
According to Helldivers 2 lore, “The Ministry of Defense has authorised the immediate mobilisation of new Exosuits to aid in our ongoing war efforts against the enemies of Managed Democracy.” This means that you’ll get access to not just one new mech, but TWO.
First up is the EXO-51 Lumberer, a revised version of the Lumberer from the first Galactic War with an anti-tank cannon on one arm, and a flamethrower on the other. Secondly, there’s the EXO-55 Breakthrough with a flak cannon and a ballistic shield,
While two mech suits is a huge addition to Helldivers 2, the update also comes with new weapons and armour. The SMG-203 Gallant, is a new submachine gun with high penetration and rate-of-fire, but a smaller clip size. Additionally, the P-33 Missile Pistol allows players to use heat-propelled rounds to fire small missiles at enemies. Finally, the MGX-42 Bullet Storm boasts a disposable machine gun with backups to quickly pump lead into anti-democratic foes.
On the armour side, the O-2 Heavy Operator and O-3 Free Spirit armor are joining the fray alongside the new Watchful Compatriot cape. Honestly, they look like sci-fi NFL players, which is pretty damn cool.
Of course, this isn’t the only thing coming with the new warbond, as Helldivers 2’s latest swathe of content also comes with some new patterns, a new player banner, and the “thumb of approval” emote.
