Square Enix and Disney’s Kingdom Hearts 4 is still in development with a scheduled release date of Fall 2027. While the teams have stayed secretive with the contents of the game, an ongoing Steam megaleak has revealed a number of details for the game including a list of worlds fans can visit.
Of course, this article will contain possible spoilers for Kingdom Hearts 4. As the worlds are listed in leaked Steam Achievements, we can assume every world listed here is real and included within the game.
According to the Steam achievements, the game will feature ten or eleven worlds, although one could relate to an overworld map of sorts. While the game will feature some new worlds, such as the already confirmed Coco world, there will also be a few returning ones as well.
Judging from the achievement list, this is the list of worlds players will be able to visit:
- Quadratum
- Scala Ad Caelum
- Underworld (Hercules)
- Land of the Dead (Coco)
- Galaxy Far, Far Away (Star Wars; likely including Endor)
- Toy Box (Toy Story)
- Haunted Mansion (Potentially the Haunted Mansion?)
- 100 Acre Woods (Winnie the Pooh)
- Imagineer Planet (Imagineers could be a reference to Disneyland)
- Monochrome Origins (Potentially Oswald the Rabbit or a version of Timeless River)
- Savanna Central (Zootopia)
Those are the ten areas listed as worlds in the traditional sense, however, the achievement list does lack some details. The list also mentions a number of mechanics in the game, such as the return of Lucky Emblems for players to find across every world. Furthermore, the game will also see you fight the mysterious Master of Masters, which is essentially the Xehanort of this era.
Honestly, the leaked worlds are not too surprising, and many of them have been asked for by fans, such as the Zootopia world. While Star Wars is a bold addition to the series, it does make sense with the series’ stark good versus evil plot, especially in the original trilogy—and it’s likely a better fit than Pirates of the Caribbean was.
All In all, every seems to fit, and the world list is mostly what was expected, although the return of Toy Box is a little surprising. Additionally, there is a lack of classic Disney princes and princesses, although these worlds still fit the appeal of Kingdom Hearts.
