Marvel Rivals is ready to shake things up with a new PvP mode coming in April. The mode will be unique, as it will feature a 1v6 combat between players. On top of this, it will be the first new mode released in collaboration with Marvel Studios’ The Avengers.
With the Avengers: Doomsday movie set to premiere in December, NetEase will promote it through the hero shooter. The first phase of the promotion features Loki and his deceptions, as the upcoming mode will be centered around him. The God of Mischief will get new abilities as he fights off six heroes on an opposing team.
Upcoming Marvel Rivals PvP mode features Loki and 1v6 combat
In the upcoming Marvel Rivals PvP mode, Loki will gain powerful Infinity Stone abilities that will allow him to turn enemies against each other. His illusions and deception abilities further amplify his power, as he attempts to defeat the opposing team.
Heroes who fight against Loki won’t be left without options either. According to a teaser released by NetEase, they will be able to summon Hulk under certain conditions. The team of heroes will have to stay coordinated and focused in order to bring down Loki and come up victorious. However, this won’t be easy due to Loki’s nature and deceptions.

NetEase has experimented with several PvP modes in the past, from Clone Rumble to 18v18 Annihilation. However, the upcoming mode will be special and chaotic, and it will be interesting to see how the community will like it.
The release date of the 1v6 PvP mode in Marvel Rivals hasn’t been revealed yet. However, with Season 7.5 set to drop in the second half of April, we expect the game mode to come out in the last week of this month.
In the meantime, NetEase has confirmed Black Cat’s release date and teased a new hero coming in Season 8.
