Rivals Season 6 introduced lots of new content for players to enjoy. Deadpool is finally a playable hero, and a new Battle Pass is now also available. However, the most significant addition is NetEase’s new hero proficiency system. While the new system requires significant grinding, it is highly rewarding.
Unfortunately, the pursuit of these rewards has led to serious issues. Many players are doing their best to level up their favorite heroes and unlock exclusive cosmetics, but some of them do this in a disruptive way, causing problems for others. Due to this, NetEase has decided to crack down on inappropriate behavior and even permanently ban some players.
Marvel Rivals will permanently ban players who break the rules
Farming Lord avatars has always been a popular thing to do in Marvel Rivals. While the majority of players levels up their heroes naturally, some of them try to take shortcuts. Because of these players, the game developer announced new penalties, including permanent account bans.
Playing non-stop on your favorite hero is acceptable, as long as you do it properly. If you negatively impact your team and remain stationary in matches, your account will be penalized. At first, you will receive just a warning, but further infractions may lead to a permanent ban.

“To address this, we are planning to introduce a combat behavior detection system. Players found engaging in such behavior may face penalties including, but not limited to: warnings, short-term suspensions, long-term suspensions, or permanent account bans,” NetEase posted on X, targeting players who remain stationary to farm stats.
This is certainly a step in the right direction, and the detection system should improve user experience. At the very least, Quick Matches should be more enjoyable without AFK players.
Besides grinding proficiency rewards, you can also unlock nine free skins in Marvel Rivals in the new season. If you need more cosmetics, check out all the active Marvel Rivals codes.
